Thanks also go out to Jean-Sebastien Valois, QVCOG President for pinch-hitting as a panelist when a scheduled panelist was unable to attend at the last moment.
QVCOG member municipality staffs and elected officials are invited to tour the Greenstar/Waste Management Materials Recovery Facility facililty on May 22, 2019 to get an insiders look at the destination for recycling materials collected at the curb. Materials Recover Facilities sort recyclables for the purpose of selling the commodities and keeping the materials out of landfills. Tour participants will meet at 9 AM at the Neville Island Facility. Address: 4100 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225. Tour is expected to be completed by 12 PM.
